Love in the times of FB; Valentine's Day 2012.

"Together they had overcome the daily incomprehension, the instantaneous hatred, the reciprocal nastiness, and fabulous flashes of glory in the conjugal conspiracy. It was time when they both loved each other best, without hurry or excess, when both were most conscious of and grateful for their incredible victories over adversity. Life would still present them with other moral trials, of course, but that no longer mattered: they were on the other shore."

Love In The Times of Cholera, Gabriel Garcia Marquez
We are breathing in the world 27 years ahead of the time when Love in the Times of Cholera was indited by Garcia. Huh!!! There are vaccines and medication for Cholera. That increases the chance of survival against the disease. LOL. But what of those who want their love to survive despite distances. Do we have any gimmick for these loves lorn? Arey, apna FB (latest fad) hai na? Online kisses, heart shaped chocs, love bite on comments, pictures of girlfriends clad in skimpy red dresses, romantic videos has replaced all hot cuppa of steaming Barista, CCD coffees, being sipped the corner seats, V'day costly roses, flashy cards decked with hues of red and lusty smooches. But that's the last resort for the love birds not living in the same nest. I have all thanks for FB and sympathy for distant lovers.

Hats off to technology! Successors to the FB and breakup saving devices engage in lot of birdies. Skype, 3G and android smart phones antithesis Love in the Times of Cholera. Digitizes 21st century has metamorphosed the expressing of love through onscreen MO. I wish these techniques do not turn into infidel devices. Am I too late to report this?
